Down in the woods early….
everything gleaming and washed by overnight rain, roads steaming in the hot sun. The Twinflowers looked good. Found the Wintergreen too. Several Roe bucks jumped away. They are toffee coloured at this time of year. At least three Wren families were foraging and busy. A Crested Tit was with one group. A lovely day, outside enjoying it until 1400 when suddenly I got soaked in a very heavy hail shower! Luckily iy didn’t last long, but the Cairngorms looked black!
