Spitting Images

Today we took the ferry to Gardone on the opposite side of the lake, where we were struck by how much quieter and less touristy it was, although it has the feel of a grand 19th century resort with its big villas and hotels like the aptly named Grand in extras.

We particularly wanted to visit the Heller Garden which is a small but beautifully designed terraced garden with themed displays of plants and flowers from all over the world, offsetwith a variety of interesting sculptures.

The main blip shows one in theJapanese-themed garden, where these two gargoyles spit water at each other over you as you walk through.

The other extra is a colourful Adam and Eve in a modern Eden.
