From The Palatine Hill

This morning’s theme was Ancient Romeo’s we joined a guided tour of The Colosseum, Palatine Hill and The Forum with a very informative and entertaining guide. The main blip is looking down on The Forum from the top of the Palatine while the extra looks in the opposite direction towards The Colosseum.

We found a little cafe in a quiet square behind the Forum for lunch then walked across the Tiber to Trastevere district where we wandered round, visited possibly the oldest Christian church in Rome, enjoyed a gelato then headed back to the apartment.

Fantastic food again this even. I’ll never be able to make carbonara sauce again.
