Fathers' Day

Well I've been very lucky today. This morning (well slightly into the afternoon too I admit!) I finally finished the DIY for Son#3, boxing in the unsighly pipes behind his downstairs loo - a real fiddle in a confined space but it's done! And after all, helping one's offspring is one of the most satisfying things one can do as a parent. While I was there I had a lovely cuddle with Grandson Aidan who's 4 weeks old today (where did that time go?!). And I've had lovely good wishes from Sons 1&2 as well.

I just had to share this Fathers' Day present -  it's less than a month since I saw Bruce Springsteen at Sunderland and here I am with a super mug with the whole setlist of that very concert on! (I also already have the official audio recording of it so I can relive it whenever I like and follow the setlist while I sup a cuppa.)

Of course the offspring do like being cheeky to their Dad (and I love that too!)...you should only take a close look at the extra (of my Fathers' Day card) if you dare! It is alleged that this should be placed outside my little study as a warning.
