Day 14 - Gulf of Finland

It started off really hot and sunny then we had to retreat inside when a mizzle set in. Now it’s sunny with a breeze which should keep the bugs away.

The German caravaners on the next pitch had to call in the rescue service. It appeared their BMW battery was dead. They got it started and he took the car to a distant spot to leave the engine going for an hour before they hooked up and left. Now we have a Swiss couple in their place. A convoy of 3 huge Finnish vans appeared.

It’s a hard life! A whole day with nothing to do, (apart from watching the activity on site and there’s not a lot of that) and cooking dinner which won’t be hard - pasta with slices of cooked pear, walnuts and blue cheese.

A walk on the beach, a swim (which certainly woke me up!) and a bit of book-reading. I have had a look at my knitting but that’s as far as it goes.

Feeling totally chilled.
