Over the last few days we have had several Woodpeckers visiting our feeders more regularly and we have seen young being fed up in the trees. I didn’t think it would be long before we saw a redcap on its own and sure enough this afternoon I watched as one climbed onto the fence below the feeder, but could not figure out how to get to the nuts. It will learn.
