Climbing rose

The only rose that is doing really well this year is the Iceberg rose in the crab apple tree.  It is now beginning to wend its way up into the branches - difficult to prune without a ladder!

At last a day when the wind has dropped and one can feel the warmth of the sun once again.  I went for a walk this morning and gardened in the afternoon, and then enjoyed reading my book outside in the shade - has summer arrived ....... ever hopeful.
