Water of Life
Explored the town of Bossico today. It has a lot of sympathetically renovated buildings, and it's obvious that this was also thriving in the past.
One contributor to its success was the spring and the town being a centre for reliable water and visiting traders. When, in the 20th century, running water was provided to every household, this central water source and washing area fell into disuse. Over the last 10 years a group of volunteers raised funds and worked to restore the site and it's back as a visitor attraction.
