I do what I must
to attend to these cranky
feet of mine - Indeed!!!

I was out the door in the dark just after 2 AM. This was not my usual camera jaunt but a trip to the hospital to see a doctor. Having no family physician anymore, this is how I get my medical needs seen to. We're living in a city of 100,000 yet more than half of us have no family doctor.
It is truly insane.

I parked near the roundabout at the back of the hospital to walk to the door of Emergency, I sorted my parking permit, then sat by the admitting window. I was soon greeted by a lovely young woman, a former student. She is still the chipper, spritely gal I remember. She tells me I don't look any different myself!

I was soon ushered into the inner sanctum where the only doctor attending this morning met me about 30 minutes later. I'd had my blood taken and handed a warming blanket to keep me warm. The doctor was fabulous and promised to make the referrals for me to specialists. I was assured I'd be getting phone calls to set up appointments. Then I was on my way.

I was home by 4:30 with the light coming up behind my mountains. I made myself a pot of coffee and poured granola into a bowl. With any luck I can get some more sleep before it's officially breakfast time.

I have yet another day of paperwork to look forward to.

*** I have used the "Pencil Drawing" effect on Fotor  for my collage.
