I am back to my 
favourite park - what is a
day without marmots?

My cranky feet had me up at 1:30 thus wasting sleep and part of my morning. I slept in until just after 7 making a late start to my day. I didn't leave home until 7:30. which got me into the morning rush of those going to work, kids off to school, construction workers setting up.....I despair!!

I drove into McArthur Island for that quiet space surrounded by water. I caught a band of Canada geese in poses on the slough. They reminded me of ballet dancers practicing on the bar. 

I parked by the foot bridge to get some shots into the slough. Reflections were beautiful, but not much bird action there. I looked across the slough to my mountains. 

I just had to make a stop on the south side. Those marmots, especially the new ones this year, are just too appealing to pass by. I'm told there was a bumper crop of babies this spring. 

I picked up groceries and my breakfast before heading for home. My feet have had enough for one day already. 

I have another day on my laptop, so the cranky feet can stay propped up. May it be a quiet day on the home front.
