The Woodland Garden (Monday 17th June 2024)

Monday afternoon was spent at C.'s in Trowbridge, looking at her garden from the conservatory. Loki was a no show and I didn't take any pictures there. This bottlebrush plant (Callistemon citrinus) was taken at home before I left.

Neko Case - Curse of the I-5 Corridor (2017)
Having reached July 2018 in my trawl through old magazines I was on this day playing the CD that came with that month's Uncut, called Rise, featuring new and recent releases of new music, of which this was one. Neko Case is one of my favourite singers, first heard in 1999, like so many, by being championed by John Peel. This track came from the album Hell-On and features harmony vocals from Mark Lanegan. Somehow, I hadn't obtained a copy, so this was quickly corrected.
