The great out door

Thought I’d better strip the door.
It only had two coats of white and a coat of brown shellac over the original surface which I was surprised to see was a faux hand applied oak effect - again using what looked like thickened shellac.
Even 200 years ago they were faking it.
It looked quite good tbh.
