And Rod!

We've stayed at the hotel in Bembridge all day, mainly because we had a visit from one of mrsfb's old 'Sutton Girls' friends She now lives on the island so it was good to have a catch up. After a light lunch we had a stroll along the beach towards the lifeboat station. We walked along the mini pier and had a look around the station itself. We had a chat with a crewman guide about recent launches, including their last call out, the successful rescue of a lady who had somehow fallen off her yacht without her husband realising, but managed to call the coastguard as her phone was in a waterproof bag. 

Interestingly he also told us there would be a test launch this evening at 7pm. So I went back of course and got some blurry shots of the launch. Don't look too closely at the extra.

In the evening it was time for the highlight of the week - Simply Rod Stewart. I checked him out a few times using Google song search. The best result was a 27% match to the real Rod. We enjoyed it though.

Overall it's been a lovely day again. I've had shorts on and I think I have caught the sun.
