Potatoes and broad beans..

Today at my grandsons Gardening Club we harvested the potatoes and also picked a few broad beans. It was a better harvest than I expected as just a few potatoes had been planted in black bags . The potatoes were shared out with all the children to take home, they each had enough for a portion for 3 or 4 people. Each week they also pick any broad beans that are ready to eat.

Earlier I went for a swim and then to the library en route to my allotment and did a lot of weeding and clearing of old bits and pieces ready to repaint the shed…hopefully I can do that tomorrow. 
Another nice day, sunny but not too hot.
