Eye to Eye

Mont d’Or Views …

… are quite spectacular for a small peak. It just takes an hour and 15 minutes to climb steeply to the summit but you can see the layers of mountains: the Chamossaire Ridge, behind that, the Muveran Range, and beyond that the Mont Blanc Range. Usually you see plenty of chamois there but not today. It is an area where the Swiss army play their war games so perhaps they had been there recently! To do this walk I was up and away very early to fit everything into the day and I still haven’t had a commenting session yet!

Just looked out of the window and saw the extra! Shame it is so flat and lacking definition. We have Sahara sand in the atmosphere again. The next few days of rain won’t let us see the full moon.
