Waitby Greenriggs

The sun suddenly appeared this afternoon and we decided to go to the CWT reserve Waitby Greenriggs. Unfortunately it wasn’t particularly sunny there, but still very pleasant. The reserve is along a disused railway and is easy walking.
There are so many orchids of different species, it’s a real delight. We saw fly, butterfly, fragrant, spotted, Northern marsh and twayblade. The Marsh Helleborine is up but not quite fully open. There were a few ringlets, but no other butterflies.
It was Bonnie’s first visit, and she loved it!
