Weed Wiper
Another bracken workshop for me today, this time in 29.5 deg C heat....phew!.
This is a weed wiper being demonstrated. You fill it with herbicide, often glyphosate based, then pull it behind the quad. The herbicide spreads along the brushes which wipe whatever it touches. In this way we can adjust the height of the brushes so that it only touches the tall vegetation such as bracken or rushes. It is a very effective way to control these species.
My assistant this time is not as good looking as a few weeks ago.
If you want to nosey at where I was staying yesterdays back blipped shot is worth a look.
