Cooling Off

So hot today!! Temperatures got as high as about 31C! Last night was quite humid as well, good thing we had the electric fan on and the windows open so we were able to sleep comfortably. Mr M is off work today so had a bit of lie in, and onwards to a lazy day..

While Mr M was cleaning the car, and then the house windows, bless him, I was on the phone and then webcam with my mum back home.. She says she was feeling fine and blood pressure seemed to have gone down, so, so far, she's being taken cared of..

We were then both sat down at the back porch where it was a bit cooler and we were shaded off from the glare of the sun. Had a light lunch and more sitting.. We then went off to Parkgate to get some supplies.. Getting into the car was like getting into the oven, it was so hot inside! Thank heavens for air-conditioning! As soon as we got there, most men had their shirts off and those coming out of Argos mostly had electric fans in tow, haha!! A unanimous feeling I guess, LOL

Went back home and, guess what, did more sitting outside on the shade, this time with an ice lolly! That was when Mr M noticed this pigeon who was likely cooling off as well on the shade of the tree as you can notice her all puffed up, trying to get some breeze in between her feathers! Truly a very warm day for all of creation! But hey, who's complaining eh?!

Thank you so much to everyone for the heartwarming concern you have made me feel on yesterday's big decision-making.. I know I could always count on you all.. Truly a commmunity that will always stay close to my heart..
