Ben Alder
We were at an old friend’s last Munro today. He had left Beinn na Lap so he could encourage his children to come. It’s a relatively easy day using the train to get to Corrour Station and there is loads of time before the return train. After a week where it looked like the day would be showery at best, we were lucky that it was dry for all bar a 10 minute hail shower on the way down. The cloud remained above the hills and views were good. The blip is Loch Ossian with Ben Alder (our last Munro) in the back and the extra the view towards the Ben, the Aonachs and the end of the Grey Corries. We had an excellent afternoon tea in the tea room at the station and then had a dinner in Crianlarich in the evening. This didn’t go quite to plan as there was a total power cut in Crianlarich so the hotel had to improvise with cold food; they did well.
Best on black.
