Part One
Of Two.
A morning start at Pendre yard, cleaning carriages before a guarding turn. This shot of the first train taken from the carriage shed doors. There has been a critical shortage of volunteer guards this week. Having been away a few days there was little I could do to help until today. The catch was that I also had an evening shift in the cafe. Fortunately there was a three hour gap in between and I managed a snooze at home as well as getting a few little jobs done.
The train trip was great as the weather was nice and I had a very capable assistant. The cafe turn was a busy one, a charity train and barbecue food. A full train of 125 people. Live music in the cafe too made for a very jolly evening.
Tired now. Will sleep well.
