Made it!

This finisher at parkrun looks glad to be crossing the line.

Our routine was changed a bit this morning, since Edinburgh parkrun was cancelled. We decided on a change of scene and headed out slightly earlier to go to Meadowmill parkrun, at Prestonpans, a half hour drive at that time of the morning. It was our first visit there, a much smaller affair than Edinburgh and not quite so flat, but the weather was good and it was all very friendly, so most enjoyable. One of the advantages of smaller parkruns, of course, is that you get a much lower finishing place - and I came first in my age group! Although we didn’t recognise any of the other runners, we knew one of the volunteers who used to come to Edinburgh, and another volunteer used to work with me, so it was nice having a good blether with them.

I’ve added an extra of one of those magnificent East Lothian skies which was the view across the playing fields where we ran.
