Looking back
Most of my walks with the spaniel (and therefore many of my blips) are from the hill (where we live) to the right of centre looking up this valley. This afternoon, for a change, we went down the valley to Chapel Lawn and climbed Caer Caradoc for the view towards home.
From the Iron Age hillfort on Caer Caradoc you can see an Iron Age hillfort on ..... Caer Caradoc. That's right, two hills with the same name 16 miles apart, each claiming to be the base from which Caratacus (1st century AD chief of the Catuvellauni) waged his campaign against the invading Romans. Both hills offer cracking views.
