The Pentland Way [Part 2]
Today was the day to complete The Pentland Way - having undertaken Part 1 back in early May ... and we were extremely lucky with the weather-conditions :-)
7 intrepid walkers, including 2 Hong Kong'ers ! , set off from Carlops to make our way over the main ridge, down to Flotterstone, then back up-and-over to Swanston - the Pentland Hills were just looking at their absolute very best!
Main snap shows the view looking back towards the main ridge, as we made our way over to tackle the last top; 1st extra is one of the many way-marker posts along the route; 2nd extra shows three of the group summiting West Kip [my favourite Pentlands peak!]; 3rd extra, the same three on top of the Pentlands' Ben Nevis - Scald Law; 4th extra is a classic view of Glencorse Reservoir :-)
Seven tops completed in all - in order of ascent: Cap Law, West Kip, East Kip, Scald Law, Carnethy Hill, Turnhouse Hill, Allermuir Hill.
Marvelous day :-))
