WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

We’ve had a chilled out day - just enjoying being together.
While Frank slept in the conservatory, (he can’t stay awake for long) Melanie and I watched some David Hockney interviews on YouTube. A very interesting man and prolific artist.

I forgot to say yesterday. We met a lovely young lady yesterday in Salt’s Mill art department. She was looking at the same table of art stuff as me.
I could hear that she had a foreign accent and asked where she was from.
Russia, she said. Then she told us that she and her parents and younger brother had left Russia as they were being persecuted for their religion -
Jehova’s Witness. Her little brother was in danger of being taken from his parents to be fostered by a Russian Orthodox family.
How awful not to have the freedom to practice your chosen religion.

I gave Bella a shower this evening. She was a bit whiffy!

Book and bedtime - at last! We are both so tired.
Goodnight :-) X
