Mary Passmore

A passenger manifest from June 1929 for a boat from Montreal to Glasgow. One of the passengers was my grandmother. She’d spent a couple of years in Toronto helping her sister with childcare but didn’t take to the Canadian way of life (or climate) and returned to Kilwinning in Ayrshire. She married my grandfather the same year and eventually settled in Aberdeen when he got a teaching job up here.
