Meadowhell

A rare visit to Meadowhall Meadowhell, the cavernous shopping mall that squats on the edge of Sheffield, on the site once occupied by the steelmakers Dunford Hadfield. The replacement phone that I'd ordered could only be collected from a store there, rather than anywhere in the city centre.
However - Monday morning is a good bet, it's very quiet.
One of the central hubs has a display about cultural diversity and fashion (extra), in which Roma figures are central - a rare, positive depiction; in another spot, the stairs are decked out in Pride colours. Both were welcome sights amid the adverts for Krispy Kreme doughnuts and fast fashion.
