Sur Le Pont d'Avignon
I fetched the TT from her cool resting place in the underground carpark in a nearby square and we set off for France.
The road took us through a hundred tunnels as we crossed the border and past Monaco, but we didn't see much from the motorway.
We arrived in Avignon and found our hotel quite easily. In a very quiet leafy street, just inside the walls. The Olympic flame was due to pass through later in the day, so many of the roads were closed off, but good old Waze found a way in no problem.
This ancient city is pretty impressive, but the weather turned when I went to photograph the iconic bridge.
We managed to miss the flame completely and spent an hour having a drink in a lovely bar in a square a few streets away from the route.
Dinner in a very nice restaurant was expensive and Jacqui's chicken seemed to have been chased around a lot before being caught.
