Loganberries?

Today's the day  . . . . . . . . . to break out

These 'big raspberries' have been growing so long in the fruit cage, that we have long forgotten exactly what they are.

And now that they've made a bid for freedom and managed to grow outside the mesh - I doubt we'll get the chance to sample them.  The blackbirds have already got their eye on them . . . . . . . . !
