Sunbathing Skimmer

This morning I took advantage of a late start at work getting some time back for extra hours worked. 
The plan was to head out to Fiskerton  Fen in the hope we might see some snakes or Lizards enjoying the early morning sun but sadly none out enjoying the early morning sun maybe next time. We did enjoy the walk and a few bits around including a few large skippers see extra and dragonflies and also we heard and then spotted a Cuckoo which then flew across the river see a poor extra as it was so fast. My main is a black tailed  Skimmer enjoying the sun on a bench .

A very warm hot day with more to come would have been nice to enjoy more of it but i had to get to work. After work a trip to Morrisons for the weekly shop and then home for a relaxed evening catching the end of a very entertaining football match Croatia V Italy
