Bear prints

Day 12. Bad night last night with the ship going through a bit of a storm, it was rough, and the ship was keeled over with the wind as a result I didn’t get a great night’s sleep. During breakfast we arrived in the pack ice and this time we were right in the middle of the ice flow, which was strange to see. Spent part of the morning in the ice looking for polar bears and seal, we did spot a harp seal a way off and then a walrus quite close just before lunch. Spent most of the afternoon out on deck looking for stuff and getting hot chocolate with baileys from the staff. Saw a few seals in the distance and then we went past a set of fresh polar bear prints in the ice but couldn’t see him. It’s the summer solstice today so it was the BBQ on the deck to celebrate, very surreal sitting all wrapped up in the pack ice having a BBQ and beer. Got chatting to a nice woman for Texas after dinner while the music was being played, and ended up in the lounge for a night cap and staying up too midnight.
