Up Close and Personal …
… with the Dents du Midi this morning, doing the the Valerette and Valère ridge before the promised storm came in. The Alpine Rhododendrons are just coming into bloom. There were so many Swallowtail butterflies battling out their territory on the summits. It was magnificent to watch. I managed to get only 3 photos (one in extra) as they settled for a few seconds before taking off again. Way below me, three bearded vultures were circling where there was a herd of sheep. TonyG will remember this walk well.
Yesterday it was 10pm before I blipped as the sunsets are so late so thanks to everyone who has visited it already.
