From the ferry

A good drive, we left the room about 8.30, John then mentioned we should stop for breakfast, after various thoughts we decided on the George hotel, Inveraray. A good choice with a great welcome, a good menu - we chose kippers with a poached egg but….. no decaf coffee, they didn’t serve it. Very unusual. This is not a place we have called into previously, I am sure it was on bf I remember reading good comments and hearing from teaching friends who would meet here. Anyway, spot on for us, it was good not to rush for the ferry.

This view was taken when on the ferry this afternoon, nearly home. Although we received a luke warm welcome from our little family, Rory was here and keen to love us in return for food, Bobbiegirl turned up, had food and disappeared. Jack hasn’t been seen since Friday, yes I am worrying and Tiggy was in her second home with our neighbours, we met M on the way home, she has taken to calling in there recently.  I suspect Jack is enjoying the weather, he occasionally takes off for a few days, worrying is pointless, but…..

A great time in Anglesey, we did enjoy our two days in Glasgow,* well Balloch, a few miles west of the city, people are so very friendly, good food from the Indian restaurant and last night a lovely pizza and today breakfast out, love it.

Now home, the garden looks like a wilderness, I can see what my job will be this week, the housesitters proved to be excellent leaving the place spotless, all the bedding was washed, they loved their time on Mull - we don’t expect house sitters to work in the garden other than watering when needed.

And the sun is shining, we have a G and T, yes, it’s only Tuesday, but ohhh the pleasure.

* we have a plan to spend 10 days in Glasgow in a months time.

Jack has come home, a minute after Tiggy came in.
