11th ENE Scouts

Safe Home....

....they're all just back and full of stories.

Hugo's patrol were struggling to navigate as the mist and rain was obscuring the key landmarks. However, they tackled the technical route with relative ease. Jacques patrol were having a tougher time about 30kms south with their intended camp site covered in water and the narrow valley acting as a wind tunnel. Not a comfortable night, but an adventure nonetheless. Lachlan's patrol had to contend with Owen twisting his knee. Fortunately, a passing patrol of older Norwegian Scouts lent a hand. All three patrols found last night challenging, but also enjoyed the walk to their collection points today; in the sunshine.

The leaders and Scouts not on the hike spent today tidying stores, chopping firewood and swimming in the sea.

Later, the Brussels Sprouts Scouts next door invited us across for a campfire and songs.

Early start tomorrow for Pulpit Rock. Can't wait.

Quote of the Day, "You can't possibly be serious?", Katya.
