This was an exciting day, by our low key standards: we have made a decision about a car. It's a used WAV (wheelchair accessible vehicle) larger than the one we currently have, which will accommodate the essential gear without which J can't now leave home for more than a few hours, and enable us, we hope, to travel again. Before our test drive, we took our scruffy old car to the car wash to try to help its part-exchange value; afterwards, we enjoyed our drinks and cookies with a view of the colourful beach huts and the Thames estuary at Herne Bay.
