2024 Sunday — SoCal to Cayucos

Today was our scheduled road trip back to our Central Coast home. We were in SoCal for our youngest great-grandkid’s 5th Birthday Party. We exited our SoCal house just a few moments after 8:00 a.m.

Travel time was just under 4 hours; the overall trip was approximately 5 hours because we stopped several times to the two of us and the two pups could shake off the rigamortis.

Traffic slowed only a couple times and it was quite thick, but not too slow, as we drove through Pismo Beach. It was obvious to us that lots of people were headed to the beach at Pismo.

The cool temperature here is something we are delighted to be experiencing. The SoCal heat was excruciating for us. We’ve lived in that heat all our lives, but at the moment we are not adapted to the heat.
