2023 Friday — Clear Summer Day

My goal today was to clean, really clean, Mr. Fun's bathroom.

I really, really love a clean house. I really, really hate house cleaning. Most of all, I really hate cleaning bathrooms.

Even as I write this, I realize that I need to turn that attitude around, put on my gloves and just scrub the bathroom. Above all I need to get this house spruced to almost spic & span and then invite a cleaning person to come give me an estimate to clean this place occasionally. This Central Coast region has dozens and dozens of vacation houses and many, many people who do housekeeping for a living.

We used to have a house cleaner when I worked fulltime and we owned our big house in SoCal. She would work three hours every other Monday morning. After she had been with us for sometime, I knew she was a quality worker and she was trustworthy; so, we gave her a house key and we'd just leave the house and return after she was finished working and gone. That arrangement worked wonderfully for us. When our daughter moved in at the beginning of summer 2015, it was with the agreement that we'd dismiss the services of the housekeeper and our daughter would do the cleaning instead of paying rent. So I haven't had a housekeeper since then.

It's time to find another quality housekeeper.
