Fly away

Late in the afternoon today I walked amongst the banksias in the Lake Ainsworth heathland. This Rainbow Lorikeet was feeding in a Banksia aemula when, just as I pressed the shutter release button, it took flight.

I'm going to step back somewhat from Blipfoto for a couple of months. Rana and I have decided to move to an apartment in a retirement village in Brisbane. We've found a place we really like and are excited about the move. The next couple of months will be busy, so I'll ease back on Blipfoto. I hope to do a blip once a week or so, to keep my hand and eye in, and expect to be back in the swing before too long.
