Last Day
We spent it here at Beadnell Bay. The day started murky and grey but soon picked up and it was a lovely afternoon. Whilst walking on the coastal path above the beach we came upon a sign saying that on the beach between the fenced off areas there was a pair of Ringed Plovers who had hatched chicks and were asking people to be aware and careful. Then we met a very nice man from 'space for Shorebirds' who told us more and was looking at the Plover parents through his scope and was kind enough to let us have a look. Very special.
Then we walked to the harbour where there was a bit of a sea Haar over the lovely beach looking away to Bamburgh Castle shrouded in mist.
Back to 'Matilda' and we took the awning down to save too many jobs in the morning before we decamp and depart on the journey back to Kendal where we'll stay for a couple of days to break the journey home on Sunday.
Extras: The 'Bird Space' sign and misty boats.
