This collage was taken last evening. Hunter was out somewhere else most of the very hot day and Holly stayed indoors and in the garden. She slept peacefully on her favourite armchair. In the evening it was 27.7c indoors. I am not comfortable in that heat, so I sat quietly in a cool place, drank plenty of water and watched Father Brown, Escape to the Country and some films.. By 8pm Paul hosed the garden. The cats followed him around watching with fascination. They love pouncing on the hose.
Òver night it was very close. I woke up 2:30 am and after a while, fortunately went back to sleep.

This morning it is 21.7c, sunny with a strong cool wind. The washing should dry in next to no time!

I like it like this. I am contented. I am doing some housework and then hope to go for a walk to the canal.
