Who needs a tent?
Ordinarily or, at least most years, I would be heading down to Pilton in Somerset today for the Glastonbury Festival. However we didn't succeed in applying for tickets - it is always enormously oversubscribed and tickets sell out in about 30 minutes - so we'll be watching it on BBC TV. Neither will we need this wearable sleeping bag that attracted my daughter's attention when we looked in at the Aldi store on the way home after I picked her up from the station. She did wonder if one could dispense with a tent altogether wearing one of these. Well, it does look like it's going to be another hot sunny year at Glasto, so maybe this would be enough. It can certainly can get very hot under canvas. In the end, Jen wasn't tempted. Earlier in the day I'd braved the M25 to go bowling at the Tonbridge Wells Hollywood Bowl, an experience that unlike driving in France last week, was far from enjoyable. It wasn't my best performance either, although I did manage to win the last of the three games we played.
