Life through the lens...

Railway Children Walk.

So lucky that the weather was cooler today for our walk with the Pudseys.
Still warm and sunny intervals.

So many photos and couldn’t choose so here you have another collage.
The small train, top left, was the 85.
Built by Neilson Reid, Glasgow, originally for the Taff Vale Railway.
Sold by the GWR into colliery service in the North East, before entering preservation by the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway in 1970.
Photo taken at Oxenhope
The three trains were at Haworth station.
The house with two chimneys was actually called Three Chimneys in the first Railway Children film. The house where the family lived.
Walking through paths lined with beautiful foxgloves was a joy we all enjoyed.
Passed over the level crossing at Oakworth Statio, where ‘ Perks’ was the station porter.
Passed this house perfect for renovation!
Followed these signs.

Extras Haworth where we finished the walk and had some well needed refreshments.
The other extra is No 85 letting off steam.

Now back having the usual cuppa with feet up.
Have had a fabulous day with a great group of people and spent in the beautiful West Yorkshire countryside with a few trains included as extra bonus.
