And we’re off on our holidays! This was the second queue of the day and is actually a queue to be able to join a queue though to be fair both moved along fairly well. The first queue did the opposite and was strictly BA inspired - only have a single Bag Drop counter open. Just nuts. Arriving at Heathrow we had a long wait for the plane to Baltimore but at least we had the option of not joining any of the queues to get into an eatery, opting instead for Witherspoon’s every man for himself approach to finding a table. And it only took 30 minutes for our food to arrive!
An eight hour flight found us at US immigration and in a pretty short Visitors queue - which did not move! I think a half dozen folk were through in the time i5 took to clear a couple of hundred US passport holders. We know our place. Then onward to car rental, always a joy!
But the bottom line is that we made it and the holiday starts for real tomorrow.
