Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens

One of my favourite RHS partner gardens is the historic formal garden of Castle Bromwich Hall (now a wedding venue)

It’s run by a Trust who seek to retain the original formal design. They have a lovely cafe with excellent home made cakes, and a robin who helps out on the reception desk when it’s quiet. 

I spoke to the head gardener before setting off round the garden and she told me that they had one single Common Spotted Orchid in the Orchard but that it had gone over. I must remember to go before midsummers day next year. 

I was early. It was quiet…….and so peaceful. Good for the soul.
