Monstrosities!

Christina came to visit me this Sunday.

It was cold and blustery, with an icy wind raking across the lake. We bundled up indoors talking and catching up from a year gone by. Had a slow Sunday brunch, and took a walk through the woods around Grapevine Point.

Along the way we found these monstrosities! The biggest white morel mushrooms I've ever seen. State fair winners - the biggest measured 11 inches tall! A wild delicacy, Christina made a morel souffle for dinner. Bon appetite!
