Tiny sedum flower with even tinier hoverfly
This hoverfly measures about 1cm, one of the smallest I've ever seen. It had to fight against the gusty wind to land on the Sedum flower, though once settled, it stayed around for a good feed.
It's been a much cooler day today here in Northampton, more like a traditional English summer's day (I wish I'd taken a jacket when I went out).
