The Elephant In The Room

... needs dusting.

I collected the cakes from The Larder - 8 boxes of cakes today.... but no sponges.
Then it was a case of picking up Squirrel ..... for the last time. She has now finished primary school and after the summer moves to The Bog School'!

SWMBO still not feeling well so I was off to Jupiter on my own.
I grabbed a couple of shots of the swan family on passing....through the open car window (no point in getting them all het-up). Thankfully the barrier was not in place this morning - I didn't fancy hiking up the hill 3 times, especially with the high winds and threatening rain (at least the monsoon seemed to have done enough during the night).

SWMBO got up to head down to the school to see the kids being piped out
I took down a fancy box for the [url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/10180444@N08/53822119168/]one member of staff[/url] who has seen The Monsters their entire time at the school. She started at the nursery at the same time as The Cygnet and moved into the school proper when he did and we have seen her go from single to married to a mother of three, so it is the end of an era.
I also got  an instruction I was not to leave before another member of staff 'had words ' with me ....... gulp! (that brought back memories of my school days!).
It was the PE teacher who wanted to thank me personally for her whistles. She is delighted with them (not so much her husband who ran about the house blowing them for all his worth). They have been hung up in pride of place so I have been told. 
That was nice of her.

We got back to the house and SWMBO retired to bed again.
I am going to have to drag her out of it tomorrow and force feed her I think.

I made 3 small boxes today (2 of them matching) and the other almost like an elongated acorn box ..... or a bullet.
