Liverpool

This is CyclopsJnr and MrsCyclops's third annual weekend away for the first weekend of the summer holidays. Last year was Blackpool and the year before was York. This year we have come to Liverpool.

We had a leisurely start and an uneventful train journey down, conveniently arriving at 3pm check in time.

Thanks Lastminute.com Secret Escapes we've got a great deal in the Crowne Plaza and it's lovely. Our room has two double beds and a dock view. And there is a swimming pool! So of course we went there first. After which it was basically tea time and we wandered along to Liverpool One for the Cosmo world buffet, as going to a world buffet with a chocolate fountain has also somehow become an annual tradition.

Then CyclopsJnr declared himself exhausted and we went back to our hotel room where CyclopsJnr requested we put a music channel on the TV while he read a new book that he chose at the bookshop yesterday, the sequel to his last class novel. It was very relaxed and enjoyable and he was welcome to stay up for as long as he wanted but he was asleep by 8pm!!
