While on my runs

After the play had ended

S got tickets for us (along with her brother and his partner) to go to a matinee performance of the play Red, White and Brass. The play is based on the true story about a Tongan youth group who played as a marching band before the game before Tonga and France (won by Tonga) in the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

It was a great play and the cast were full of energy. The lead actor was John-Paul Foliaki, playing the part of Maka who was the driving force. He is an excellent dancer, and very good with the comedy bits.

As we left the Theatre we saw him standing, obviously waiting for someone. We thanked him and said how much we had enjoyed it. He told us he was waiting for his grandmother, and looking forward to a rest before the evening performance.

After S said that she felt like a fan-girl, there was talk of selfies and I was able to get this photo.
