ORCHID PATCH

Spion Kop cemetery is full of wild flowers including thousands of pyramidal and other orchids. Here's a small patch of them, with bloody cranesbill and so many different grasses. I was going to start listing the other flowers I saw up there but there are too many. If only there hadn't been a cool breeze and intermittent showers sweeping through there could have been plenty of butterflies, burnet moths, hoverflies and others all over the place. As it was, the swifts and swallows were finding plenty of food on the wing.

I tested negative this morning - yay! - and started a Tai Chi class. It's halfway through a beginners' course so there's a bit of catching up to do.
