The Naked City

Wet and miserable today, perfect afternoon for film club, which was “The Naked City”, a crime procedural that gave an interesting tour of 1940s New York with a very climactic chase scene. It was my happy day - I won the lucky door prize (“Hardboiled Hollywood”) and met a lovely Turkish tourist (see Extras) who unwittingly crashed our post-film coffee and biscuits. Not the most auspicious day for visiting Canberra (our winter days are usually cold but not dreary), hoping we will reconnect one day in Istanbul (we have vague dreams of taking our children to Turkey one day).
